Restaurants, Entertainment Facilities and Traffic Means

While the hotels, restaurants and facilities have been greatly improved and their number has increased, the restaurants authorized for foreign tourist have been rapidly developed. So far there have been 0ver 200 restaurants for tourist service, and the problem of “eating is difficult” has been almost solved.

There has been a rapid development in tourist entertainment facilities in the whole province. Dance halls, karaokey rooms, disco, massage rooms, bowling games and golf course have appeared over the past years. Performance teams have been organized in some hotels and restaurants. Yunnan Province Tourism Performance Troupe was set up in October 1995, and put up a grand show “Colorful Clouds Appear in the South” providing a nice and high level theatre performance with typical minority tastes for tourist from home and abroad.

All the hotels and travel services in the province possess some traffic means, and the professional tour coach company “Yunnan Tour Coach Company” possesses over 200 imported deluxe tour coaches. According to incomplete statistics, there are now nearly 1,000 tour coaches in the province with 11,800 seats, and about 60 tour boats.
