Lake Dianchi in Kunming

Kunming's prime scenic and recreational area is at Lake Dian, China's sixth largest. Tour boats cruise the crystal waters. On one shore lie Grand View Park (Daguan Gongyuan) that provides the flowers that Kunming is famous, along with arched bridges and pavilions. On the opposite shore lies the rich green slopes of the Western Hills (Xishan). A newer attraction is the Yunnan Nationalities Village, an ethnic theme park consisting of 24 minority mini-villages, probably the best such park in China. We took this picture from the Western Hills.
