Weibao Mountain

      Weibao Mountain is five kilometers southeast of the seat of Weishan County. It is the birthplace of Xi Nuluo, the founding king of Nanzhao State. The mountain features ancient trees and Taoist Temples where sculptures, inscribed boards, couplets, and murals are under good protection. Chaoshanghui(the Festival to Make Pilgrimage to the Temple on the Mountain) is held from the first to the 15th day in second lunar month every year. On the occasion, people of the Yi ethnic group converge onto the mountain to sing and dance.
